Course contents:
- introduction to design and function of switched-mode power supplies (DC/DC converters)
- Measurement of adjustment range and load dependency of step-down DC/DC converters
- Analysis of step-down DC/DC converter by measuring signal output over time
- Measurement of adjustment range and load dependency of step-up DC/DC converters
- Analysis of step-up DC/DC converter by measuring signal output over time
- Course duration 2 h approx.
UniTrain multimedia courses in electronics provide an introduction to the fundamentals of modern electronics with the help of numerous experiments on components and simple circuits. Students taking the course are familiarised with the principles, limitations, properties and basic circuits for various semiconductor components and utilise them in various applications. Many experiments reinforce the familiarity with measuring instruments, particularly the oscilloscope. Characteristics are recorded and changes in voltage and current are observed, evaluated and explained.
